Leg Splint

The shape of the leg splint serves two important functions: it provides comfortable support to an individual’s wounded leg and the form facilitates economy of space by stacking for safe shipping at the lowest possible cost. The holes in the splint also have two objectives: they relieve stress on the molded plywood, to prevent splitting, and they provide access to thread the bandages that secure the leg to the splint.
It is stamped “S2-1790” with black ink on an interior section.
