MKX-1
Charles Eames, Ray Eames
1953
For the first few years of production, the upholstered wire chairs had two options: the “Postman’s Bag Tan Leather” or a lovely black/brown and white crosscheck upholstery, both selections curated by Ray and Charles. MKX-1 stands for Medium (height) K-wire (chair) X (base) 1 (1-piece upholstered pad).
