This DSS model became very popular for schools and auditoriums because they could be stacked for storage and the interlocking side brackets used to create long, orderly rows of chairs. DSS stands for Dining (height) Side (chair) Stacking (base).
“Summit Prime” is stamped in black ink on the underside of the shell. An embossed Herman Miller logo and word mark and “412072” printed in black ink appear below.
